Concord Model Railroad Club Train Show (Concord, NH) – European Train Enthusiasts

Concord Model Railroad Club Train Show (Concord, NH)

2016 Gallery

Our chapter participates in the Concord Model Railroad Club’s annual train show with our Bergbahn.  The Bergbahn is a small, portable 2-module layout that is easily transportable by two or three members.  It measures a mere 5′ x 10′ and goes from trailer to operation in less than one hour.  Its unusual light-weight construction makes it a real attraction at smaller train shows.  In the picture below, member John Avery is on hand to answer questions from the public.

A rail fan examines the rock formation and span bridge that make up part of the layout’s intricate scenery.

Members Karl Hilse and Jeff Koellmer are taking advantage of a lull in the action to rest a bit and scan some literature.  The electronic switching and staging yards are visible from the rear of the layout, as is the “aircraft type” construction.

Member and one of the original builders of the small layout, Mike De Punté, transports the layout to small shows and events throughout New England with his compact car (below).
