Member Otto Lies has been working lately on rebuilding his vintage Marklin layout in his basement. His collection of early model of both train stock and structures is impressive. The above pictures illustrate some of his work to date. Stay tuned for further updates as he progresses.

Top, Otto has a village scene planned to be encircled by a portion of the track loop. In the lower photo, some of his vintage Marklin stock is displayed in a glass case.

One corner of Otto’s new layout is intended for a mountain with access through a port hole. In the lower photo, members John Avery and Robert Frowenfeld admire one of the unique structures that adorn the layout.

Outside of their lovely home in Massachusetts, Otto and his wife Ulrike have build a garden layout. The photos above illustrate one section of the layout. Ulrike has cleverly used bits of Railroad scrap to create the most interesting structures.
