Club member Roger Williams has built a fantastic European-themed garden layout at his home in Rochester, MA. It is a fine work of not only model railroading, but gardening; a hobby in which he and his wife Becky excel. The above picture shows the main station with its passing tracks.

A recent chapter meeting was hosted by Roger and Becky and other members attending were fascinated with the operation… chip monks, snakes and all!

As Roger demonstrates, even a garden railway is not immune from derailments. Here he rescues an errant passenger lorry. A Swiss croc passes a small village on its way around the layout.

Another shot of the main station and its passing/staging tracks. Roger has a colorful fleet of both passenger and freight vehicles that make the circuits.

A colorful electric locomotive from the Swiss’ Rhätische Bahn narrow gauge railroad approaches the station from another direction.
